In one encounter with the crack religious leaders of his day, Jesus changes forever all we understand about the nature of humanity and what it truly means to be holy rather than unholy. He doesn’t want slaves. He wants hearts, freely and joyfully given, fed by his words. And that’s what makes you clean for him.
